Consignment packaging data can be added by using copy and paste from a spreadsheet.
Steps
1. Add a Template
Create a template that matches the layout of the columns in your spreadsheet.
If a template has already been defined then skip to step 2.
Enter a name for the template and then select a mapping for each column (from the items available on the dropdown options).
In the example below the transport equipment/container number is in the first column or column A in the spreadsheet.
See further below for details about the data items.
2. Copy and Paste
Select the data in your spreadsheet application and then copy this to the clipboard.
For example, on a PC you can press Ctrl+C on your keyboard.
Then paste into the text box using Ctrl+V
The data will be re-formatted like below and a preview will display
3. Preview the Data
Check the preview to confirm that the data is correct.
If not then Click Reset, correct the data in your spreadsheet repeat from Step 2.
Note, you may need to scroll across to see all of the data in the preview.
4. Save
Click the Save button to proceed and you will be taken back to the consignment packaging. You should see that the additional rows are now displayed.
If you wish to additional rows then you can repeat the above steps.
If you added the data in error or wish to add the data afresh then you can use the delete option and then use the paste option again. You can delete all rows or only the selected ones.
Data Items
Field | Description |
Container Cleaning Facility (name) | The name of the overseas facility if the container has been cleaned. Important: To apply a code for the cleaning facility a contact with a matching name can be entered into the system. The cleaning facility should be entered as the quarantine premises code for the contact. |
Container Quarantine Declaration | Quarantine declaration for full containers as yes or no answers. For NZ, an example is YYNNN |
Description | The package description. Set to 'Empty container' when not provided for an empty container. |
Flashpoint Temperature | The flashpoint temperature in degrees celsius. |
Identification Number | An identification number for the goods. For example a vehicile identification number |
Identification Type | The type for the identification number Valid values are: CHN - Chassis number LVN - Live animals number SRN - Serial number VIN - Vehicle identification number |
Marks | Package markings |
Package Quantity | The package quantity. Should be omitted for an empty container |
Package Type | The package type as a 2 character UN code. e.g. PK, CT |
Quarantine Premises (code) / Transitional facility code | The code of quarantine premises (transitional facility) for containers. Important: Ensure that a contact has been setup with this code. See How to, Setup a contact for a transitional facility |
Quarantine Premises (name) / Transitional facility name | The name of the quarantine premises (transitional facility) for containers. Important: A contact needs to have been setup with this code. See How to, Setup a contact for a transitional facility |
Tr Equipment ISO Code | The ISO size/type code for the container/transport equipment. Examples are 22G0, 4200 |
Tr Equipment Number | The container/transport equipment number |
Tr Equipment Type | The type/status of the container. Valid values are: MT or ECL or Empty - Empty container FCL - Full container LCL - Less than full container FAK - Freight all kinds container |
Undg Code1 | First dangerous goods code |
Undg Code2 | Second dangerous goods code |
Undg Code3 | Third dangerous goods code |
Used Goods | Indicates new or used goods or container. Valid values are: Y or U or used - Used goods/container N or new - New goods/container Important: Empty containers are set to used unless 'new' is indicated. Other goods are set to new unless 'used' is indicated. |
